Meet Ankeen Rose

Welcome! I’m Ankeen.

As a Swedish massage therapist by training, I firmly believe in the power of relaxing touch to calm the nervous system. My work is deep, thorough, and effective and my practice is rooted in deep understanding of the nervous system, and how pathology can stem from chronic dysregulation.

I have been a health & wellness coach for 13 years and a massage therapist for over 7. I have built my practice from the ground up, entirely through referrals and word of mouth. My massage & bodywork practice incorporates all aspects of my coaching training - from active listening to offering nutrition and herb options, to breath-work and stretches. Getting to know my clients and being an aid for their healing journeys is the highlight of my practice. Listening to my clients, hearing them talk about their struggles, their accomplishments and the steps between the two is inspiring for me.

My physical bodywork practice is rooted in Swedish relaxation massage, incorporating cupping therapy, acupressure, and myofascial release to work deeply on the musculoskeletal system, while also regulating the somatic and autonomic nervous system.

I offer lymphatic drainage / post op, prenatal massage, swedish massage with/without cupping therapy, zen shiatsu, as well as a series of facial offerings: buccal massage, intraoral tmj massage, and ayurvedic face massage.

I am a NBC Health and Wellness Coach, a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist, and a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist.
