Ayurvedic Nutrition

Developed over 3,000 years ago in India, Ayurveda was created as way to balance the mind-body connection through the use of diet, yoga (postures), herbal remedies, detoxification, purification, massage, and yoga pranayama (breathing). It is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems.

As an Ayurvedic practitioner, I offer one-on-one sessions to help you understand your constitution (dosha) and how to properly nourish your body with food and exercise. I combine this practice with that of my wellness coaching, to make changes to your diet and nutrition with slow, measured steps.

I also offer Ayurvedic facial massages, Ayurvedic head massages, and some herbal supplementation.

Meditation & Pranayama

In meditation, we practice focusing the mind on a specific action, thought, or object, like our breaths. When distracting thoughts arise, we kindly and compassionately bring ourselves back to our object of focus. We will work on controlling the breath through specifically designed exercises, like Pranayama.

I offer one-on-one meditation sessions or small group classes. These sessions can be both relaxing and invigorating. We explore the flow of breath through different parts of our bodies, as taught to me by my teacher Yogacharya Rajeev MP. We will use sound and movement, as well different kinds of breathwork. The classes are about forty five minutes long, and include a ten min sit and a five minute shavasana, or corpse pose. During shavasana, I offer a short Ayurvedic face massage for those who would like it.

Wellness Coaching

Wellness coaching is a transformative tool that is used during periods of overwhelm, anxiety, or stress to help you organize and utilize your time in a more productive and constructive way. This is done through small daily changes made over the course of a specific period of time.

We will meet weekly for 45-50 min sessions, for 3 months. We will talk about the previous assignments, emotions that came up, successes from the previous week and troubleshoot the areas that didn’t work as well. We plan out the next week with mental and physical exercises, like time management and scheduling, self-reflective assignments, diet changes, daily check ins, deep breathing exercises, note-taking, and laughter.

I am always available via text or email in between sessions.
